Why can’t I have an early pregnancy scan before 7 weeks?

Abdominal ultrasound before 7 weeks gestation can sometimes struggle to detect a heartbeat accurately, leading to uncertain pregnancy assessments. Our team comprises fully qualified OB/GYN (obstetrics and gynaecology) specialists, with male and female sonographers available upon prior request

What is 4D Ultrasound?

4D Ultrasound marks a pinnacle in ultrasound scanning technology, introducing a fourth dimension of time. This innovation allows you to observe the real-time movements of your baby by assembling numerous 3D images into dynamic snapshots capturing your baby’s activities as they happen

What is 3D Ultrasound?

3D Ultrasound employs the meticulous assembly of multiple 2D images and data gathered by the sonographer. Leveraging our cutting-edge ultrasound technology, we produce a composite image that portrays your baby in a three-dimensional form, closely resembling a conventional photograph rather than the standard black and white 2D scans. These 3D scans offer a glimpse of your baby’s facial features when they reach a suitable size

What if my baby is in the wrong position?

We offer a complimentary re-scan within two weeks if your baby’s position hinders a proper scan (Monday to Friday)

Who will perform my scan?

At Milton Keynes Numi Scan, we have a team of highly skilled and certified sonographers (HCPC & BMUS), comprising both male and female professionals, who will perform your scan. We recognise the importance of personal comfort during this experience. If you have a preference, kindly inform us during the booking process, and we will do our best to accommodate your preference

Do your scans replace the NHS scans?

Our private scans complement NHS scans, providing additional reassurance and bonding opportunities but do not replace your NHS appointments which you should still attend

Can I bring family and friends?

Yes, up to three guests can join you in our spacious room to share these precious moments on our large-scale HD TV. From the comfort of the sofa, they can share and enjoy the wonderful experience of seeing your baby in 3D or 4D
